Older Adults mental Health
The Older Adults Mental Health Team consists of joint health- and social care-funded operational team managers, senior practitioners, social workers, social work assistants and CPNs. The team supports service users from the age of 65. Our team complete assessments, statutory reviews and mental capacity assessments, and attend multi-disciplinary meetings and Community Hospital ward rounds. Throughout, they complete safeguarding investigations and carers' assessments, and provide advice and information. Collaboration is key, and the team works alongside other health partners, police and voluntary organisations. We give them full support, and the opportunity to take part in all aspects of the work. We're firmly committed to enhancing skills, so we encourage everyone to complete relevant training.
Diploma/ Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent or Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists or B.Sc. O.T. or other professional qualification recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
Registration with the Health Professions Council as an Occupational Therapist and/or Registration with HCPC.
Approved Social Worker status (specific to Older Adult Mental Health).
A good working knowledge and ability to use information technology and related systems.
Required to be mobile throughout an operational area. To be able to attend meetings or provide cover in other locations. Driving licence and car or access to other effective transport arrangements is essential

The DBS update service ensures all registered DBS certificates are kept up to date and allows authorised parties to view the status of your certificate.
