Just received good A Level results?
We are looking for a trainee accountant to join our "family" firm.
The applicant must be educated to A Level Standard, qualified for University entry.
Our position would suit a practical self motivated individual who would rather start a professional career right now, rather than spend three years drinking at University.
Ideally, although not necessary, some relevant experience (anything up to 2 years) in another accountancy practice may well gain an applicant a significant advantage.
We offer full supervised on the job training and pay the full costs of studying for an appropriate professional qualification, usually starting with the AAT, and progressing through to the ACCA.
Duties will include making tea/coffee for eight staff three times a day, and some very occasional hoovering and toilet cleaning. These latter duties will be shared with the practice principal. Amazingly enough, even when you have been qualified for 30 years, you may still have to spend ten minutes a day cleaning up after others when you run a business. This will form part of your training experience, and maybe assist you in your personal life should you ever decide to take on the responsibility of running a household. It used to be called "mucking in".
We operate in a rural area where there is no public transport. Applicants will need their own means of transport and ideally possess or soon to be applying for a full driving licence.
