Job Title: Head of Quality & Mission Assurance Reporting to: Director of Programme Delivery & Mission Assurance Location: Harlow Req ID: 99972BR Role Description: To drive unquestionable product and service quality throughout RSL whilst promoting a culture of continual improvement and flawless execution. To take overall responsibility for the execution of all Quality Assurance and product certification activities across the RSL business. Key Responsibilities: The creation of a strong Quality Assurance presence within all areas of the RSL business promoting a culture of excellence The management, development and motivation of circa 100 Quality Assurance staff across multiple sites both in the UK and Canada. Primary authority and customer interface on all quality related matters Generation and maintenance of all company management systems and procedures relating to Quality Assurance. Ensuring the compliance of all RSL activities to the QA procedures and processes through governance and audit. Application of 'quality tools and techniques' to facilitate the resolution of quality issues, Identification and facilitation of Quality Assurance initiatives and process improvements Application of risk management techniques to assess, prevent and minimise quality issues throughout our core processes To establish, manage and develop a high performing team. To pro-actively identify and facilitate the elimination of waste and cost of poor quality from the business operations fostering an environment of continuous improvement. Responsible for the maintenance of ISO9001; AS9100 and Airworthiness approvals Responsible for ensuring the RSL Quality Management system continues to remain compliant with statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements Develop and report on key metrics to drive improvement Report on the performance of the RSL Quality Management System. Agree and manage the functional budget Primary point of contact on Quality Matters when liaising with the Raytheon Corporate Businesses Candidate Requirements: Essential: Degree qualified in a related discipline Experienced in a senior Quality Management role within a large design, development and manufacturing organization Fully conversant with the requirements of AS9100; ISO9001; Ideally conversant with Lean Six Sigma methodologies Project Management Desirable: Lead Auditor ISO9001/AS9100 Chartered member of the CQI Knowledge of EFQM assessment model Personal Attributes: Personal drive and enthusiasm Excellent communication skill Strong influence and persuasion skills Can build relationships Achieve results through others Build and develop teams Analyse and critically evaluate information and data Achievement orientated Resolute About Raytheon: Raytheon UK is a subsidiary of Raytheon Company.
