Legal Secretary with conveyancing experience
Shenfield based Solicitors is looking for an experienced Legal Conveyancing Secretary to join their small team. We are looking for someone with good knowledge of Legal Forms, requisitions on title, contracts etc. Experience of Land Registry, Oyez and Stamp Duty is essential for this role. You will need to be a strong team player with excellent organisational and client skills. Duties & Responsibilities: - Answering the telephone, taking messages - Receiving and sorting incoming post - Meeting and greeting of clients - Day to day typing of correspondence, letters and emails - Diary Management and liaising with our other office to ensure this is in sync - File opening and File closing - Scheduling files for archiving and retrieval of files from storage - Carrying out registrations with Land Registry - Stamp Duty, logging and payments of - Legal form completions i.e. AP1, TR1, TA13 - Sending out of client care letters with all relevant paperwork for completion - Sending out of protocol forms to relevant solicitors - Liaising with estate agents and providing updates on relevant files - Printing of Wills and witnessing same - Creating and amending of legal documents - Creating of invoices and updating invoice sheet - Working as part of a team to ensure effective secretarial cover is maintained Candidate Requirements: Documentation skills, Diary Management, Telephone skills, General office experience, PC Proficiency, Verbal communication, Internal communications, Dependability, Reliability, Professionalism, Client relationships, Confidentiality, Team Player, Excellent spelling and grammar. Car owner driver essential as will be expected to cover holiday at the other branch in Essex, South Woodham Ferrers.
